The United Kingdom government will soon implement a new immigration system. It comes as the UK will fully exit the withdrawal transition period by the end of the year. Importantly, this means that the EU will lose control of the United Kingdom’s borders.
As the United Kingdom enters the transition, it is planning its future immigration rules. The Home Secretary, Priti Patel, has said that the United Kingdom will implement a robust immigration policy with an “Australian points-based immigration system.”. This move would see the UK benefit from skilled migrants only.
In relevant news, the UK government announced it was deporting 50 Jamaican criminals back to their country. Although, only 27 of the 50 will be deported, after a group of left-wing activist stopped the deportation of murderers, rapists and drug lords. It seems that the left in the UK, have an inherent need to protect those who want to do the UK most harm.
