The Conservative Party has seen a moderate boost over the Labour Party in opinion polling as Nigel Farage seeks to stand-down over 300 of his candidates. It comes as the Labour Party were humiliated over their Brexit policy.
In the ICM opinion poll for Reuters, the Conservatives rose a point to 39 percent, while the Labour Party held its current support at 31 percent. This follows a dreadful series of events for the Labour Party relating to its unknown Brexit strategy.
The United Kingdom overwhelmingly voted to leave the European Union in 2016, although, was prevented from leaving by the Remain Parliament. Many now want to leave the EU as soon as possible, with Boris’ new agreement.
The Labour Party are essentially split on what they want for the UK in terms of Brexit. Many Labour MPs from areas in the North of England are more sympathetic to Brexit. Although, there are those on the front-bench, such as Emily Thornberry, who seem confused on what labour want after an embarrassing interview on Good Morning Britain.
