There has been an ongoing announcement from Team Boris regarding the United Kingdom’s immigration policy. It comes as the UK was rocked by an Islamic motivated terror attacked in London.
As it currently stands, the United Kingdom is part of the European Union’s single market, this means the UK essentially operated an open-door immigration policy. There has been a lot of discuss against the single market, as it allowed in a vast array of foreign criminals, claim opponents.
Team Boris has announced that freedom of movement will end. The Home Secretary, Priti Patel, has stated that the United Kingdom will begin repealing EU legislation that will allow the UK, as a sovereign nation, to take back control of its borders.
Many have suggested that there be a foreign national ban on those coming from high Islamic areas, as seen in the United States, when Trump banned those entering the USA from extremist Islamic countries. It is not likely that this will take place in the UK, but there has been suggestions that a new security policy may need to occur to safeguard UK nationals from terrorism.
