Many have attempted to accuse Her Majesty the Queen of wrongly getting involved in Politics. Although, clearly many do not see the bigger picture – as the Monarch herself did not take the decision lightly.
The Queen and other members of the Royal Family do not normally involve themselves in political matters that affect the entirety of the United Kingdom, nor more local issues.
There has been interventions from less senior members of the Royal Family on topics such as climate change, these are issues in a universal context, not a United Kingdom one.
The Monarch, in terms of her role in approving the suspension of Parliament, did not do so in a political manner. Her Majesty has to go by the advice of her most senior Minister, the Prime Minister, as otherwise the Queen would be involving herself in a political affair.
If the Queen was to block the Governments ambition to have a Queen’s speech then the Queen would, by default, be involving herself in a political storm. The Queen, by choosing to approve Boris’ request for a Queen’s speech, has done so because it was what the elected government of her Kingdom wanted.
The United Kingdom has voted by majority to leave the United Kingdom. Royal Assent has been given for the legislation for the UK to leave the EU, therefore, the UK will be leaving, come October.
