There have been reports from a national newspaper that have suggested that Nissan has U-turned on its threat to leave the UK after Brexit. It comes as the people of Sunderland were notoriously lied to by the remain side regarding the security of their Nissan jobs.
There were fears that the car factories could be moved to France or Spain but this is now unlikely to be happening. It comes as a previous report from the Telegraph suggested that Nissan might seek to ramp up its production in the United Kingdom on the back of Brexit. Meaning, the UK will produce more cars.
The project fear agenda from Nissan was ridiculously pro remain. Although, it’s now thought that companies are starting to see the benefits of leaving the restrictive and stagnating EU market. It comes as the UK now hopes to forge trading links globally, outside the EU.
