There have been suggestions that an unlikely candidate may take Theresa May’s place as Prime Minister.
The name currently floating around to replace the Prime Minister is the Attorney General, Geoffrey Cox, an excellent legal mind and supporter of Brexit, he could replace Theresa May.
Cox is softer than the likes of Jacob Rees Moggs, but is seen by many to be a possible candidate to overtake the remainer PM, Theresa May.
It is not yet clear who will take the Prime Ministers’ position.
Whoever is to take the PM’s place, a Tory leadership contest must begin, and then a possible general election may follow, as any future candidate will want their own mandate from the electorate.
