The United Kingdom is preparing itself to leave the European Union, which includes the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).
The United Kingdom has decisively voted to take back control of its territorial fishing waters, this has caused much anger in France.
As is currently stands, the United Kingdom, as part of the CFP, allows foreign vessels to ship in its waters, to the anger of British Fishermen.
The United Kingdom will leave the European Union on the 31st if October and therefore will also leave the CFP.
French Fishermen have demanded access to UK waters after Brexit. A key reason for the UK leaving the EU was to dump the CFP and take back control of our waters.
French Fishermen have even suggested they would block the channel if they do not get access to British waters. I mean, who on earth do they think they bloody are?
The United Kingdom is seeking to leave the EU on a clean-slate, that means we will no longer be part of the EU’s rules and regulations, which includes the CFP.
It’s clear the EU have more to lose than we do, as they so desperately try and cling onto the hope that Boris backs down and signs Theresa May’s surrender treaty.
