The United Kingdom government is to block France having access to the United Kingdom’s fishing waters. It comes as the UK will seek to withdraw itself from the common fisheries policy (CFP), a policy that means the the UK has no control over its fishing rights.
The French have demanded that they still have unique and unrestricted access to the United Kingdom’s waters after the transition period. Although, their hopes were left in tatters as Team Boris has stated that the UK will take back full control over its fishing rights.
It’s now clear; Team Boris has now issued its final warning to the European Union – we will not surrender our fish. The EU just now be prepared to stand on its own two feet.
