The United Kingdom Government has issued a direct warning to the European Union Commission. It comes as the EU has demanded that EU vessels be able to access United Kingdom waters once we leave the Common Fisheries Policy after the transition period.
As it currently stands, the UK is part of the Common Fisheries Policy, this means that the United Kingdom allows foreign EU vessels access to its fish. Importantly, EU vessels catch 8 times the amount of fish in United Kingdom waters as British vessels do, leading to outrage.
The EU has now insisted that the UK continue to allow its Romanian, French and 25 other nations to freely purge the United Kingdom’s waters. Consequently, team Boris has said that the UK will take back full control of its fishing rights, leaving the EU raging.
