It has been reported that EU leaders’ are now deeply regretting their initial approach towards the Brexit negotiations.
The UK is now preparing itself for a highly successful exit from the European Union without a withdrawal arrangement.
The Withdrawal Arrangement would see the UK automatically lose £39 billion. The UK would also have to regulatory align with the EU’s rules and regulations under the Withdrawal Agreement, which would hamper the UK’s ability to set its own laws.
Furthermore, the UK, under Theresa May’s withdrawal plan, also known as a ‘Surrender Treaty’, would see the United Kingdom stuck in the so-called ‘backstop’, a mechanism where the UK would be trapped in the EU’s customs union, with no way of getting out. Meaning, the UK could not initiate its own Free Trade Agreement, thus, hampering UK growth.
The head of the World Trade Organisation has confirmed that the UK can do seamless trade with the world without a withdrawal arrangement with the EU. Team Boris have clearly illustrated the fantastic new opportunities from a no withdrawal agreement Brexit.
More importantly, a report from Cardiff University has suggested the United Kingdom will be £135 billion better off under a no withdrawal arrangement Brexit. It’s clear, the EU have underestimated the United Kingdom.
Evidently, it is now more than obvious that the United Kingdom is preparing for a highly successful exit from the European Union and EU leaders’ are just not that happy about it!
