Diane Abbott, the Shadow Home Secretary, has been ’embarrassed’ after she posted a tweet online regarding the defeat of Theresa May’s dreadful so-called ‘deal’. In reality, it was a withdrawal arrangement that saw the UK commit £40 billion to the EU, in return the EU would have control and a say over specific aspects of UK economic policy, even after we leave the EU. May’s deal was defeated by a huge margin.
The Prime Minister has shown she is incapable of negotiating a good deal. No Deal is not acceptable.— Diane Abbott (@HackneyAbbott) January 16, 2019

Her tweet suggested that the labour party could get a better deal for the country. Many people were laughing at the fact she thought this could be the case, as most know the current labour party is not fit for government.
One comment on twitter said: “Diane Abbott are you seriously suggesting Labour could go into the EU and get us a ‘better’ withdrawal arrangement? – You have to be having a laugh!”
The motion of no confidence will be held tonight and it is likely that Theresa May’s government will win the vote, backed by the Democratic Unionist Party.
