There has been suggestions on the fringes of the Labour Party that Jeremy Corbyn should scrap the Queen as Head of State of the United Kingdom. It comes as many now believe that Corbyn is anti-Royal.
Her Majesty the Queen does not get involved in political matters, especially those regarding the United Kingdom’s exit from the EU, or the upcoming general election. Although, Corbyn supporters have tried to involved the Queen in labour policy.
As it currently stands, the United Kingdom has a constitutional monarchy system of government. This means that the Queen is not elected as head of state, she has a birth right to the throne as defender of the realm.
Many have suggested that Labour groups are positioning themselves to bring forward a raft of new anti-monarchy legislation, aimed at positioning the country towards a republic system.
This all comes as many accuse Corbyn of being sympathetic to the IRA, a terrorist organisation which bombed the UK and killed hundreds of innocent British people.
