Defence Minister Tobias Elwood, has suggested that he could get “a dozen” Tories to block the United Kingdom from leaving the EU, and thus hampering Boris Johnson’s chances of securing Brexit.
Serious concerns have been raised regarding the Conservative party, as many of their MPs wish for the United Kingdom to stay within the EU, at any cost. It’s now common knowledge that the Tory party has a heavy centrist remainer coup within its ranks, lead by the likes of Phillip Hammond.
The Tories are probably the biggest bunch of blairite centrists you could meet; just look at their cabinet; with Amber Rudd, Phillip Hammond and their dear leader, Theresa May, all diehard remain toffs.
If you go further, look at who they appointed as Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carmel, another but-hurt remainer, who uses any chance he gets to undermine government policy on Brexit – he should be utterly ashamed. The sooner he is out of that job the better.
